President of the Meurthe-et-Moselle Departmental Council from 2014 to 2020, Mathieu Klein has been Mayor of Nancy and President of the Greater Nancy Metropolis since July 2020, and has initiated a new Metropolitan Mobility Plan. Born in Lorraine, passionate about public action and the development of his territory, he is attached to the values of social justice and republican equality, as well as to Lorraine’s European commitment, in its relations and connections with neighbouring territories. He is currently President of the Sillon Lorrain, a European metropolitan cluster supported by the inter-municipalities of Thionville, Metz, Nancy and Epinal, focusing on projects that are important for the territory’s citizens, such as infra-regional and cross-border mobility.
