Charles Margue studied in Paris from 1977 to 1985 at the Universities of Paris I and Paris V, Sorbonne, and holds a degree in sociology, a master’s degree in political science, a post-graduate diploma (DESS) in demography and a post-graduate diploma (DESS) in health economics. From 1985 to 2018, he was a researcher and research director at the market research and public opinion institute ILReS s.a. (TNS Ilres, ILRES) in Luxembourg. He was head of the mobility and public transport department, with the following tasks: a) passenger counting, quality measurement, travel habits, satisfaction and perception surveys on public transport. Clients at the time included the Luxembourg Ministry of Transport, the national railway company – CFL, the City of Luxembourg, including the traffic department and AVL and the bus department, the TICE syndicat des autobus du Sud du Luxembourg, the RGTR, Luxtram. He is also a member of ESOMAR, the European Society for Opinion and Market Research, and has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since October 2018 for the party Déi Gréng – les Verts.
